Captain Najomo Empowers NCAA Muslim Ummah in Abuja

The Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Capt. Chris Najomo, has empowered more than 20 members of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) Muslim Ummah during an empowerment programme held at the Authority's Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
The beneficiaries included security personnel, cleaners and other individuals selected from within and outside the NCAA. The initiative also provided support to the families of two deceased beneficiaries.
In his goodwill message, Capt. Najomo urged members of the NCAA Muslim Ummah to continue praying for the growth, safety and progress of both the NCAA and Nigeria's aviation industry.
He reaffirmed the Authority's commitment to staff welfare and pledged that the management would introduce more empowerment initiatives to support the less privileged.
Speaking at the event, the Director of Aerodrome and Airspace Standards and Patron of the Headquarters Mosque, Alhaji Abba Ahmed, mni, commended the DGCA for his continued commitment to the welfare of staff and the wider community.
Items distributed to beneficiaries included sewing machines, deep freezers, hair clippers and other barbering equipment, Point of Sale (POS) machines and laptops.
The event was attended by members of the NCAA Muslim Ummah, alongside several senior officials of the Authority, including the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mr Michael Achimugu; the Director of Aviation Security Regulation, Dr Bernard Omogo; the General Manager, Approved Maintenance Organisation Certification and Surveillance, Engr Suleiman Akwuh.
Others were the General Manager, Air Navigation Services, Alhaji Suleiman Aliyu; the Technical Assistant to the DGCA, Engr Ini-Abasi Udofia; the Chief Imam of the NCAA Mosque, Alhaji Aminu Tasiu; and Mr Sa'ad Al Amin Daggash.
