ASKY Expands Fleet with Delivery of Second Boeing 737 MAX 8

ASKY Airlines has taken delivery of another Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, bringing its fleet to 17 aircraft as it continues to strengthen its regional network across Africa.

The aircraft, registered ET-BCK, arrived at the airline's hub in Lomé, Togo, on 16 July 2026. It is the second Boeing 737 MAX 8 to join the fleet this month, following the delivery of ET-BCJ on 5 July.

The latest addition completes ASKY's fleet expansion target announced earlier this year. The airline had planned to grow its fleet to 17 aircraft to support higher frequencies and introduce daily services on key routes across its network.

Configured with 160 seats, the aircraft features 16 Business Class seats and 144 Economy Class seats. It will provide additional capacity while delivering the fuel efficiency and operational performance for which the Boeing 737 MAX family is known.

Based in Lomé, ASKY serves destinations across West, Central and Southern Africa. Since launching operations, the airline has steadily built one of the continent's most extensive regional networks, linking major commercial centres and improving connectivity within Africa.

The larger fleet will give ASKY greater flexibility to increase frequencies, improve schedule reliability and meet rising passenger demand. It also strengthens the airline's ability to support its growing network as more travellers choose regional air services.

Fleet expansion remains central to ASKY's long-term growth strategy. With the arrival of ET-BCK, the airline is better positioned to enhance connectivity and reinforce its role as one of Africa's leading regional carriers.
