Air Peace's Operations Disrupted by Multiple Bird Strikes

Nigeria's leading carrier, Air Peace, has announced an unexpected disruption to its flight operations following multiple bird strike incidents within the last 24 hours affecting three of its aircraft.

According to a statement signed by its Head of Corporate Communications, Dr Ejike Ndiulo, the first bird strike incident happened yesterday, necessitating an air return. Two of the airline’s aircraft also suffered bird strike incidents earlier today, resulting in the grounding of the affected aircraft for safety checks and necessary maintenance.

"As a safety-conscious airline, Air Peace prioritizes the well-being of our passengers and crew above all else. In line with our strict safety protocols, we have immediately commenced the requisite inspections and maintenance procedures to ensure that the aircraft meet the highest safety standards before returning to service."
