Air Peace Commences New Services to Douala and Libreville

Just a day after launching its Lagos–Conakry–Bamako route, Air Peace has further strengthened its regional network with the commencement of inaugural Lagos–Douala–Libreville flights on Sunday, 2 August 2026.

The new service reinforces the airline's commitment to improving intra-African connectivity by linking more cities across West and Central Africa.

The route connects Lagos with Douala and Libreville, creating new opportunities for business, trade, tourism and cultural exchange while strengthening ties between Nigeria, Cameroon and Gabon.

At Douala International Airport, the Air Peace delegation, led by Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Nowel Ngala and Director of Flight Operations Captain Augustine Kamano, was received by Mrs. Suliat A. Paramole, Foreign Affairs Officer at the Nigerian Consulate, representing the Nigerian Ambassador to Cameroon; Hon. Chief Sir Lovinus Ezeh, President General of the Nigerian Community in the Littoral Region; Lt. Col. Adolphe Nyamke Bongkwaha, representing the Douala Airport Authority; and officials from Cameroon's transport and civil aviation authorities.

Speaking at the reception, Mrs. Paramole said the new service would strengthen bilateral relations and improve mobility between Nigeria and Cameroon. Hon. Chief Sir Lovinus Ezeh described the route as a welcome development for Nigerians living in Cameroon, while Lt. Col. Bongkwaha said it would enhance Douala's role as a regional aviation gateway.

Mr. Ngala described the launch as another milestone in Air Peace's African expansion, noting that the route strengthens the airline's growing network and gives passengers easier access to destinations across West and Central Africa.

He reaffirmed Air Peace's commitment to building an integrated African network, enabling seamless connections through Lagos to domestic, regional and international destinations, including London and the Caribbean.

The delegation later arrived in Libreville, where the inaugural flight was welcomed by Mr. Georges Renaud Maxime Moubamou Malekou, Director of Flight Operations at Agence Nationale de l'Aviation Civile; Mr. Igor Simard, Managing Director of Aéroport de Libreville; and Mr. Mike Iwu, representing the President of the Nigerian Community in Gabon.

The officials welcomed Air Peace's entry into the Gabonese market, describing the new route as an important step towards improving regional connectivity, expanding travel options and strengthening links between Gabon, Nigeria and the wider African region.

Coming just a day after the launch of the Lagos–Conakry–Bamako service, the Lagos–Douala–Libreville route underscores Air Peace's strategy of expanding its African network while positioning Lagos as a major hub for regional and international travel.

The addition of Douala and Libreville further reflects the airline's commitment to connecting African cities and supporting trade, tourism, investment and economic growth across the continent.
