Air Mauritius Resumes Flights to Perth and Cape Town



Two years after suspending flights to Perth, Australia and Cape Town, South Africa due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, Air Mauritius has announced plans to resume scheduled flights to the two destinations.


Flights between Mauritius and Perth will resume on 1 November, 2022 and will operate twice a week. While flights to Cape Town will relaunch on 16 November 2022, and will also operate two times a week.


The direct flights to Perth will take about 6 hours and 55 minutes and will operate using two-class Airbus A330-900neo aircraft offering 28 full-flat business class seats and 260 economy seats.


Operating days from Mauritius to Perth are Tuesdays and Saturdays. While return flights from Perth to Mauritius will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays.


Flights between Mauritius and Cape Town will be operated using the airline’s flagship Airbus A350-900 aircraft featuring 28 Stelia Solstys seats in Business class and 298 Recaro CL3710 seats in Economy class.


For Cape Town operations, passengers can fly away in the moonlight from Cape Town, departing at 10:05 p.m, and wake up to the sunrise in Mauritius with an early morning arrival at 5:10 hrs. All times are local.   


Air Mauritius is the national carrier of Mauritius. From its hub at the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, it currently operates direct flights to 7 destinations in Europe, India, Africa and the Indian Ocean islands.
