Air Algérie has commenced a new service between Algiers and Abuja, the capital of Nigeria. The inaugural flight was operated on Sunday, 6 April, 2025 using a Boeing 737NG aircraft

The service will operate twice weekly via Douala, under fifth freedom traffic rights, enabling Air Algérie to offer regular flights between Algiers and Abuja with a stopover in Douala. Passengers will also be able to purchase round-trip tickets between Douala and Abuja.

This new route is part of Air Algérie's strategy to expand its flight network and strengthen ties between Algeria and Nigeria.

This initiative reflects Air Algérie's broader ambition to reinforce its presence across the African continent and respond to customer expectations by facilitating travel and promoting regional integration.
