The Aerospace Future Technology Symposium will officially open El Alamein International Airshow 2026 on 7 September, bringing together senior military leaders, government ministers, civil aviation authorities, space agencies and international aerospace executives. It will explore the technologies, partnerships and strategic priorities shaping the future of aerospace industries.
Held one day before the airshow opens, the symposium provides a dedicated platform for high-level dialogue on the opportunities and challenges transforming aerospace, defence and space across Africa, the Middle East and the wider international community.
Before the aircraft fly, the conversation begins. The EIAS 2026 Symposium opens the week on 7 September, bringing government, military and industry leadership together in El Alamein. 7 to 10 September 2026, El Alamein, Egypt.
We are proud to welcome Lockheed Martin as Headline Sponsor of Aerospace Future Technology Symposium. Their support helps bring the international aerospace and defence community together in El Alamein International Airshow 2026
A Forum for Strategic Dialogue
As aerospace continues to evolve through advances in artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, next-generation airpower and space capability, the symposium has been designed to bring together the public and private sectors to exchange insight, share expertise and strengthen international cooperation.
The programme will welcome Air Force Chiefs, defence leaders, government ministers, civil aviation authorities, space agencies and senior industry executives, creating an environment where policy, capability development and innovation can be discussed by those leading the future of the sector.
Discussions will explore themes including:
Future airpower and defence capability
AI and autonomous technologies
Civil-military integration
Space and multi-domain operations
International collaboration and aerospace innovation
Opening Keynote
The Aerospace Future Technology Symposium will open with a keynote address from Lieutenant General Amr Abdel Rahman Saqr, Commander of the Egyptian Air Force, entitled:
'Airpower as a Security Enabler for the Region – A Strategic Update from the Egyptian Air Force.’
His address will provide strategic insights into Egypt's vision for aerospace power, regional security and international defence cooperation, while examining the role of airpower in deterrence, operational readiness and future capability development.
International Leadership Gathering
The symposium will feature an international speaker faculty representing military, government, civil aviation and space leadership, including the Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation, the Chief Executive Officer of the Egyptian Space Agency, and senior Air Force leadership from Italy, Spain and France.
Taking place immediately before El Alamein International Airshow opens, the symposium provides delegates with an opportunity to establish relationships and exchange strategic perspectives before the wider international aerospace community comes together throughout the week.
Additional speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
A Platform for Industry Engagement
Alongside its strategic programme, the symposium offers organisations an opportunity to align their brand with the conversations shaping the future of aerospace through a range of sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
By connecting industry with senior government officials, military leaders and aerospace decision-makers, the symposium creates an environment where thought leadership, collaboration and future partnerships can begin.
