Following the relaxation of COVID-19 travel restrictions by the government of Rwanda, the country’s national airline, RwandAir, will resume scheduled flights on 1 August 2020.
The East African airline will resume scheduled passenger operations starting with Dubai as well as select African destinations where borders are open.
More destinations will be added as more countries around the world lift travel restrictions. Please see www.rwandair.com for schedule of routes that are currently available.
According to the airline, affected customers holding tickets with RwandAir have the option of rebooking for free with the airline to fly at a later date.
It will be recalled that RwandAir suspended its commercial passenger flights on 20 March 2020, following the outbreak of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
RwandAir has a fleet of 12 aircraft. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, it flew to 29 destinations in Africa, Asia, and Europe including London, Brussels, Mumbai, Guangzhou, and Dubai.
