As countries begin to lift COVID-19 travel restrictions, Virgin Atlantic has announced the resumption of regular passenger service to Lagos, Nigeria from 23 August, 2020.
When services resume in August, Virgin Atlantic will be returning to Lagos with the new and ultra-modern Airbus A350-1000, replacing the Airbus A340-600 previously on that route.
Virgin Atlantic will also be resuming flights from London Heathrow to other destinations including New York, Los Angeles, Washington, Mumbai, Delhi, Shanghai, Tel Aviv and others.
To ensure the health and safety of passengers, Virgin Atlantic is implementing measures to offer peace of mind including enhanced cleaning practices at check in, boarding gates and onboard.
In the short term, to minimize contact, Virgin Atlantic will also be offering a simplified hot food service in Economy and Premium Economy classes.
Upper Class customers will receive a choice of hot meals, desserts, including cheese & biscuits, which will be delivered to their seat on a tray.
The airline will also be serving a temporary limited alcohol offering to passengers in all classes.
