Kenya Airways CEO Elected to IATA Board of Governors

Kenya Airways Group Managing Director & CEO Allan Kilavuka, has been elected to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Board of Governors.
Mr Kilavuka’s election follows a vote by IATA’s Board of Governors on the nominations received for the position.
IATA is the trade association for the world’s airlines and represents some 290 airlines across the world, or 82% of global air traffic.
Members of the Board exercise and oversight and executive role on behalf of the membership in representing the interests of the Association.
Other CEOs of African airlines have also been elected into the IATA board of governors including Tewolde GebreMariam Ethiopian Airlines CEO, and Somas Appavou, the CEO of Air Mauritius.
