Following the successful launch of onboard Wi-Fi internet connectivity service on its A350 fleet, Ethiopian Airlines has now started rolling out the service to its Boeing 787 and Boeing 777 fleet.

The internet service has already been activated on three Boeing 777 aircraft with more aircraft to join the service in the near future.

Dubbed ‘Shebaskyconnect’, the service takes passengers’ onboard experience to a new level enabling them to enjoy seamless connectivity with the latest broadband satellite technology throughout their travel.

Passengers can access the inflight connectivity service by purchasing vouchers at Ethiopian Airlines sales outlets including Addis Ababa International Airport customer service desk, boarding gate and from cabin crew onboard.

Online sales through credit/debit card and ShebaMiles miles are also additional options for passengers to enjoy the service. The inflight Wi-Fi can be accessed with smart phones, tablets and laptops.

Ethiopian is offering free 10MB internet service for each passenger for messaging and texting. Passengers can enjoy additional “Shebaskyconnect” packages as follows: 20mb at $4.99, 50mb at $6.99, 100mb at $10, and 200mb at $15.

Ethiopian Airlines Platinum members can also get 100MB free internet service from the cabin crew on-board.

On Ethiopian Boeing 737 and Boeing 767 aircraft, passengers can stream and enjoy a range of inflight entertainment content on their own devices.
