Fleet Expansion: ASKY Takes Delivery of New Boeing 737-800

The Pan-African airline, ASKY, has taken delivery of a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The aircraft was officially received on 12 December, 2019 at the Lomé Airport. Registered as ET-AXI, the two-class aircraft can carry a total of 154 passengers including 16 in the Business class cabin and 138 in the Economy class cabin.

The aircraft will be used to reinforce the airline's current fleet of one (1) Bombardier Dash 8 (Q400), five (5) Boeing 737-700 and two (2) Boeing 737-800. The introduction of this larger capacity aircraft will strengthen the airline’s network by offering more capacity, more frequencies and improve connectivity to Ndjamena (Chad), Bangui (Central Africa Republic), Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), Niamey (Niger), Abuja (Nigeria) with daily frequency. Brazzaville (Congo) flights will increase to four weekly flights while Cotonou (Benin) will increase to three (3) weekly flights.
