Network Expansion: Emirates Touches Down in Mexico City

Emirates' inaugural flight of its new daily service from Dubai to Mexico City via Barcelona has touched down in Mexico. Flight EK255, operated by a Boeing 777-200LR touched down in Mexico City yesterday at 16:15 local time, marking the airline’s first passenger flight to Mexico. The aircraft deployed on the route is Emirates’ newly refurbished two-class Boeing 777-200LR which offers 38 Business Class seats in a 2-2-2 layout, and 264 seats in Economy Class. On the Boeing 777-200LR fleet, the Business Class features Emirates’ latest lie-flat seats, as well as a mini lounge social area offering snacks and beverages for customers to help themselves to during the flight. Customers in all classes can enjoy up to 4,500 channels of on-demand entertainment on ice with 600 movies, over 200 hours of TV, and thousands of music tracks every month. The aircraft is also equipped with Wi-Fi and Live TV across all classes. Mexico City is the largest city of Mexico and the most populous city in North America. Mexico’s capital is one of the most important cultural and financial centres in the Americas, accounting for nearly a third of the nation’s GDP.
