Emirates Airbus A380 Touches Down in Cairo, Egypt

Emirates’ award-winning Airbus A380 operating Flight EK927 made its debut at the Cairo International Airport, today as the airline brought its popular aircraft to Egypt for the first time.

The landing demonstrated the airport’s readiness to accommodate the A380, the world’s largest commercial passenger jet.

Welcomed with a ceremonial water cannon salute, the A380 flight was led by Egyptian Captain Hesham Essawy and UAE National First Officer Abdullah Alyammahi.

The flight was welcomed by key officials including General Ahmed Maher Geneina - Chairman of Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, and Ahmed Fawzy, Chairman of Cairo Airport Authority.

Travelling on the flight from Dubai was Adel Al Redha, Emirates’ Chief Operating Officer, as well as prominent members from the UAE business community.

The Emirates A380 operating to Cairo is set in a three-class configuration, and will have 426 seats in Economy Class on the lower deck, 76 flat-bed Business Class seats and 14 luxurious First Class Suites.

First Class passengers can relax and revitalise in one of the two A380 Shower Spas, and First and Business Class passengers are welcome in the Onboard Lounge to enjoy an extensive range of beverages and delicacies.

The Emirates A380 has become one of the most recognised and admired aircraft in the world, and more than 115 million passengers have experienced the airline's flagship since 2008.

Emirates currently has 112 A380s in service and 11 pending delivery, and is set to receive 6 A380s this financial year.

Wow! Stunning! Hilton seems to be taking Africa by storm. Just a couple of years back, they opened the first ever in Eswatini.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed review about ethiopian airlines in your post. I am an avid traveller and keep reading flight reviews to assess the options available. Your review particularly drew my attention because you have shared so many pictures to capture every aspect of the flight experience. It is a very nice effort.

I am really tempted to book the next ethiopian airlines ticket and relive your journey. The pictures shared with the post also reflect that you truly enjoyed the travel. Great post! I also like the fact that you have covered nuances about the food and entertainment service through the pictures. It helps people know what to expect on their travel by this airline.
