Dana Air Takes Delivery of First Boeing 737 Aircraft

Nigerian carrier, Dana Air has given its strategic route expansion plan a push with the arrival of one of its newly acquired Boeing 737 aircraft. The Boeing 737-300 aircraft touched down at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Lagos on Friday, and was welcomed by the traditional water cannon salute.

The arrival of the Boeing 737 aircraft is a firm confirmation of Dana Air's resilience, operational efficiency, deep passion, and its commitment to continue providing seamless connectivity and safe operations.

Dana Air will acquire more Boeing 737s before the end of 2019 with the aim of increasing it fleet size to 9 aircraft, while giving more Boeing 737 rated Nigerian pilots and engineers the opportunity to be gainfully employed. The new Boeing 737 will be deployed into service to strengthen airline's existing route network while new routes will be announced soon in line with the airline's methodical route and fleet expansion project.
