Air France has commenced flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Quito, the Ecuadorian capital. The inaugural flight was operated on May 23, 2019.

The 3 weekly service will be operated by an Airbus A340 for the summer season (30 seats in the Business cabin, 21 seats in the Premium Economy cabin and 227 seats in the Economy cabin).

For the 2019-2020 winter season, the route will be operated by a Boeing 787-9 offering 30 seats in Business cabin, 21 seats in Premium Economy cabin and 225 seats in Economy cabin.

This new destination is in addition to KLM’s daily flight between Amsterdam-Schiphol and Quito, operated by Boeing 777, for the 2019 summer season.

Located more than 2,850 m above sea level, Quito is home to many treasures. Its historic center, the best preserved in Latin America, is the first to be included in UNESCO's World Heritage List.
