Emirates Expands in India with SpiceJet Codeshare Partnership


Emirates and SpiceJet have signed a codeshare deal set to open new routes and destinations for passengers travelling between India and Africa, America, Europe and the Middle East.

The partnership will enable Emirates’ passengers to enjoy seamless connectivity on flights to six more destinations in India including Amritsar, Jaipur, Pune, Mangalore, Madurai and Calicut.

SpiceJet passengers travelling from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Amritsar, Jaipur, Pune, Mangalore, and 43 other domestic destinations will fly to Emirates global network using a single ticket.

In October 1985, Emirates launched flights to Delhi and Mumbai. It has since grown iin India with over 170 weekly flights to 9 destinations: Mubai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, and Thiruvananthapuram.

Founded in 2005, SpiceJet is India’s second-largest airline. It operates 516 average daily flights to 60 destinations, including 51 domestic and 9 international.
