United Airlines to Launch New Nonstop Service to Cape Town

Almost three years after it ended its Houston-Lagos, service, United Airlines is finalizing plans to begin new service between New York/Newark and Cape Town, South Africa.
Starting in December 2019, United plans to operate nonstop three-times weekly flights to Cape Town connecting customers from more than 80 U.S. cities with the Mother City.
When launched, the United's nonstop service between New York/Newark and Cape Town will be the only non-stop service between the United States of America and Cape Town.
The new service will be operated with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner featuring 48 seats in United Polaris business class, 88 seats in United Economy Plus and 116 seats in United Economy.
Flight will depart New York at 8:30 p.m and arrive Cape Town at 6:00 p.m the following day. Flight will leave Cape Town at 8:50 p.m and arrive New York at 5:45 a.m the following day.
Cape Town is the oldest city in South Africa and home to some of the most popular attractions in South Africa including Table Mountain, V&A Waterfront and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
