Turkish Airlines is expanding its operations in Nigeria with the launch of a new service between Istanbul and Port Harcourt in the southern part of Nigeria.

The new direct service will commence on June 24, 2019 and will be operated four times a week between the two cities. A Boeing 737-900NG has been scheduled to operate this service.

With the launch of the new service, Port Harcourt will become Turkish Airlines third destination in Nigeria and 53rd in Africa. The airlines already flies to Lagos and Abuja.

Port Harcourt is the capital and largest city of Rivers State, Nigeria. It lies along the Bonny River and is located in the oil rich Niger Delta region.
