Ethiopian Airlines has finalized all preparations to launch a direct to Istanbul, Turkey with effect from of April 1, 2019. Istanbul will be Ethiopian’s 19th destination in Europe.

The thrice-weekly service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Addis Ababa and on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from Istanbul using a Boeing 737-800NG.

Flight ET 0720 will depart Addis Ababa by 23:05 local time and arrive Istanbul airport by 4:35. Flight ET 0721 will depart Istanbul by 1:10 and arrive Addis Ababa by 6:40 local time.

The new flights to Istanbul will allow passengers connect seamlessly Europe’s largest city to the over 60 Ethiopian Airlines destinations in Africa via its hub Addis Ababa.

Ethiopian Airlines currently flies to 119 destinations on 5 continents with young. The new Istanbul service will bring Ethiopian Airlines European flights to 57 per week.
