Ethiopian Airlines Takes Delivery of 8th Boeing 777 Freighter

Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services, Africa’s Largest Cargo operator, took delivery of its 8th Boeing 777 Freighter on November 10, 2018 at its home base at Bole International Airport.

Maintaining its trajectory of rapid growth and expansion in the global cargo industry, Ethiopian Cargo plays a critical role in providing global standard supply chain management in facilitating import and export economies of African countries. The new aircraft will help Ethiopian Cargo bolster its leading role in cargo operation in Africa and beyond, expanding its contribution in boosting Africa’s airfreight export/import traffic.

As the largest cargo operator in Africa, Ethiopian Cargo currently serves over 44 international dedicated Freighter destinations in Africa, the Gulf, Middle East, Asia, the Americas and Europe. Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services envisions to generate two billion dollars of revenue with 19 dedicated freighter aircraft and transporting 820,000 tons of cargo to 57 destinations.
