Virgin Atlantic Commences Second Daily Service to Johannesburg

Virgin Atlantic has launched its second daily flight between London Heathrow Airport and OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, South Africa. The inaugural second daily flight was operated on 4 November, 2018 and was marked with celebrations including a silent disco, led by Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin Group. The second daily service is operated by a Boeing 787-9. Outbound flight departs London Heathrow at 16:45 and arrives Johannesburg at 05:40 the following day. Inbound fight leave Johannesburg at 22:20 and arrives London Heathrow at 07:30 the next day. The additional service will offer customers easy connections onto Virgin Atlantic and Delta flights to over 200 US destinations, including Los Angeles and San Francisco. Passengers on the new service will take advantage of Virgin Atlantic’s three new ways to fly economy: Economy Delight, Economy Classic and Economy Light tickets. With the second daily service, tourists now have more opportunities to discover wildlife, history and shopping bliss in South Africa's largest city of Johannesburg.
