Customers, especially leisure travellers, can now start plotting their Greek escape as British Airways launches a new route to the island of Kos. The new seasonal service to the popular sunshine Island, will operate three times a week from London Gatwick Airport using a mixture of A319 and A320 aircraft. Seats are available to book on ba.com from 18 September with flights operating on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from May 15 through to October 26, 2019. Fares start from £70 one-way in Euro Traveller and £222 in Club Europe and customers can pay with Avios. They can choose from a range of savings by destination and cabin while still collecting Avios and Tier Points on their bookings. Greece is incredibly popular with leisure travellers and holidaymakers who now have even more choice of destinations at competitively low prices. From Gatwick, British Airways currently flies to more than 120 destinations including over 50 short-haul and 70 long-haul. The airline is also increasing frequencies from Gatwick to some destinations this winter, with more flights to Palma, Turin, Geneva, Lanzarote and Malaga and a new service to Cologne taking off from November 16. British Airways already flies to 11 destinations in Greece including Athens, Santorini, Rhodes, Skiathos, Thessaloniki, Zante, Mykonos, Kefalonia, Kalamata, Crete and Corfu.
