Nigeria’s leading carrier, Air Peace on Saturday took delivery of its second Boeing 777 aircraft in preparation for its long-haul international operations.

The Boeing 777-300 touched down at the Murtala Mohamed International Airport, Lagos at 1.36 p.m to a rousing welcome by the airline's staff and the traditional water canon salute .

The aircraft named "Ojochide" and marked 5N-BUU, was flown into Lagos by Air Peace Chief Pilot, Capt. Victor Egonu and Senior First Officer Emmanuel Iwhiwhu.

The new long-haul aircraft has a total of 320 seats including 12 in first class cabin, 48 in business class cabin and 260 economy class seats.

The airline assured that it would soon announce dates for the launch of its long-haul operations to London, Houston, Dubai, Sharjah, Guangzhou-China, Mumbai and Johannesburg.

It will be recalled that Air Peace made history as the first Nigerian carrier to acquire and take delivery of a Boeing 777-200 on February 23, 2018.
