Qatar Airways will launch direct flights to Gothenburg, Sweden starting 12 December, making it the airline’s second Swedish gateway after Stockholm.

The five-weekly service to Gothenburg will be served with a Boeing 787-8 aircraft, featuring 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class.

Gothenburg, Sweden’s second-largest city. It is an important industrial and business centre, with the largest port in the Nordic countries.

Gothenburg offers many scenic natural attractions for visitors, from glistening lakes and granite cliffs, to picturesque fishing villages. Its Bohuslän islands are a renowned kayaking destination.

Qatar Airways launched flights to Sweden in 2007 with flights to Stockholm. The twice-daily Doha-Stockholm route is also operated by a two-class Boeing 787-8 with 254 seats.

Other destinations served by Qatar Airways in the Nordic region include Oslo the capital of Norway, Copenhagen (Denmark), Stockholm (Sweden) and Helsinki (Finland).

Qatar Airways currently operates a modern fleet of more than 200 aircraft via its hub, Hamad International Airport to more than 150 destinations worldwide.
