Ethiopian Airlines Takes Delivery of First Boeing 737 MAX

Africa's giant, Ethiopian Airlines has taken delivery of its first Boeing 737 MAX aircraft from Boeing aerospace company, United States.
The aircraft, a Boeing 737 MAX 8 touched down at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport on July 2, 2018 following a delivery flight from the United States.
The Boeing 737 MAX 8 features the new Boeing sky interior, highlighted by modern sculpted sidewalls and window reveals, LED lighting that enhance the sense of spaciousness ultimately boosting customers’ experience.
The Boeing 737 MAX 8 is environmentally friendly and has a minimal carbon emission and consumes 15% less fuel than the Boeing 737-800NG it is replacing.
As a customer-centric airline driven by technologies, Ethiopian has been pioneering Africa’s aviation with latest-technology fleet throughout its 72 years history.
With this delivery of the new ultra-modern aircraft, Ethiopian’s fleet of Boeing airplanes grows to 73 jets, including the 787 Dreamliner, 777, 737 MAX, 757 and 767.
In line with its growth targets under Vision 2025, the airline will keep on investing in further expansion of its fleet and in acquiring the latest aircraft the industry has to offer.
