Ethiopian Immigration and Nationality Affairs Main Department in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines has launched e-visa service for international visitors to Ethiopia effective 1 June, 2018.

Though the e-visa service was launched in June, 2017, it was available for a limited number of countries. But now all international visitors can travel to Ethiopia by processing their visa online.

The e- visa is processed and issued online on a single webpage where applicants apply, pay and secure their entry visa online.

Once the application is approved, applicants will receive an email authorizing them to travel to Ethiopia and they will get their passport stamped with the visa upon arrival in Addis Ababa.

In addition to providing simplicity and convenience, the e-visa system will save time, energy and cost for travelers to Ethiopia thereby promote tourism, trade and investment to the country.

With direct flights to/from more than 110 destinations from across the world, Ethiopian Airlines drives tourism in Ethiopia, providing dependable, easy, convenient and affordable connections.

Visitors to Ethiopia from any country can make use of the service. A dedicated contact center to has been activated to provide responsive service during or after travellers’ experience.
