Following the suspension of South African Express, South African Airways (SAA) has announced an extended schedule as part of the interventions to sustain South African Express network.

The schedules which are part of the recovery plans to support South African Express passengers, will be operated with partner airlines including SA Airlink and Mango Airlines.

The year-long relief schedule brings travel certainty and choice for customers who may want to travel from 29 May 2018 until 28 May 2019.

South African Express was on 24 May 2018, suspended by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) due to audit findings relating mostly to safety management processes.

South African Airways has an interline agreement with SA Express and has mobilised teams at the airports to assist the passengers.

The airline says it will provide regular updates on the situation and will use all its official communication channels to share information on the status of the relief flights.
