British Airways passengers will now have more choice when travelling to Moscow from London Heathrow as the airline starts flying to Sheremetyevo Airport in the Russian city.

From October 28, 2018, British Airways will begin operating one of its three daily services to Sheremetyevo International Airport instead of Domodevo International Airport giving customers easy access to the north of Moscow.

Sheremetyevo International Airport is located 18 miles northwest of central Moscow, while Domodevo International Airport is 26 miles southeast from the center of the city.

British Airways’ timetable gives passengers the option of taking early morning, mid-morning flight or overnight flight to the Russian capital. The new flight will be operated by an Airbus 321.

British Airways is also adding four extra flights a week to its twice daily service from Heathrow to Johannesburg, bringing the number of weekly flights up to 18.

The airline recently launched the only direct route between Europe and Nashville, and earlier this month announced a new direct service from Heathrow to Durban, South Africa.
