Ethiopian Airlines will launch scheduled flights between Addis Ababa and Jakarta, Indonesia with effect from 17 July, 2018.

The thrice weekly service will be linked to the airlines existing service to Bangkok in Thailand and will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Ethiopian will deploy the Boeing 787-8 on the route, which not only offers unparalleled onboard comfort to passengers, but is also the world’s most environmentally friendly aircraft with its lower carbon and noise emissions.

As the largest airline in Africa, the new service to Jakarta will offer the option of fast connectivity for leisure and business travellers alike with a simplified travel options.

The new service will enhance Ethiopian Airlines presence in Asia and avail an option for pilgrims and other passengers seamless connections to Ethiopian’s vast African network via Addis Ababa.

Member of the G-20, Indonesia is the world’s 4th most populous nation and 10th largest economy in terms of purchasing power parity. It boasts of different endemic animal species.

The new service will enable Ethiopian Airlines reach to all 5 of the most populous countries on earth.
