Dana Air Commences Owerri-Abuja Flights Amidst Commendations
The Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha has commended Dana Air for introducing Owerri Abuja –Owerri flights.
The Governor made the commendations on Tuesday, after the inaugural flight from the Sam Mbakwe Airport Owerri, landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The Governor who was represented by his Special Adviser, Hon Ikenna Eme, said the new Owerri-Abuja service has brought needed succor to the good people of the state.
Flights from Owerri to Abuja on Mondays to Fridays operates at 12.33pm and Abuja to Owerri at 2.16pm. On Sundays, Owerri to Abuja is at 5.31pm and Abuja to Owerri is 12.06pm.
Meanwhile, Dana Air has been unveiled as the official airline of the homecoming reception organized by the Imo state government, for the winner of the 2018 Big Brother Naija Reality show, Mr Miracle Igbokwe, who is from the state and coincidentally, a pilot. He will also be unveiled as Education Ambassador of the state.
As official airline, Dana Air will fly the winner, his family, friends and fellow housemates to Imo state for the reception scheduled for 3 and 4 May, at Imo International Convention Centre, Owerri Imo state.
In 2017, Dana Air unveiled a sponsorship deal with Heartland Football club of Owerri as part of its contribution to football development in the state.
