Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is gearing up for another year of significant portfolio expansion as it plans to open 11 new properties in nine countries by the end of 2018.
The global hospitality firm will debut in five countries including Bangladesh, Iraq, Kenya, Malaysia and the Maldives while boosting its presence in the UAE, Egypt, Tunisia and Thailand.
Three new hotels will open over the next few months: Mövenpick Asara Resort & Spa Hua Hin, Thailand; Mövenpick Hotel du Lac Tunis and Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi, Kenya.
Eight properties will be launched before the end of the year and will include Mövenpick Resort & Spa Kuredhivaru, the Maldives; Mövenpick Hotel Basra in Iraq; Mövenpick Hotel & Convention Centre KLIA, Kuala Lumpur and Mövenpick Hotel Sylhet, Bangladesh.
Others are Mövenpick Hotel Apartments Downtown Dubai, Mövenpick hotel Dubai Media City, Mövenpick Resort El Ein Bay in Egypt and Mövenpick Resort Khao Yai, Thailand.
Mövenpick plans to enter several other new markets over the next few years including Muscat (Oman), Ras Al Khaimah (UAE), Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) and Abuja (Nigeria).
Established in 1973, Mövenpick is one of the world’s most reputable upscale hotel management companies. It currently operates 83 hotels across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

Prices in the Sol Torremolinos Don Pablo are the same than two weeks ago.
Good location astounding but the staffs are rude and they make me wait so long for the service. They charge me more than what is on the website and did not refund me the manager is not helping with the issue
