Italian flag carrier, Alitalia will launch three weekly flights between Rome and Mauritius with effect from from 28 October 2018 for the whole winter season.

The service will be operated by an Airbus A330. Outbound flights will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays while inbound will operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

At the heart of the Indian Ocean, Mauritius is the ideal destination for holiday makers and tourists especially sea lovers. It is home to hikers who like to hike in the luxuriant vegetation of the Piton de la Rivière Noire to have a bird's eye view of the coral reef surrounding the island.

The capital, Port Louis, is known for its colonial past and Creole cuisine characterized by scents and colors of spices of the island and influenced by the culinary traditions of India and China.
