PaxEx: KLM Introduces New Cabin Interior on Airbus A330-200
In an effort to further enhance the onboard experience of its customers, KLM has refurbished the interior of its Airbus A330-200 with new business and economy class seats.
The new World Business Class features full-flat seats, over 2 metres long at full stretch, 18.5” HD-quality touchscreen display in 16:9 format and 110V socket and USB connection.
Other features of the Business Class cabin include interactive entertainment menu in 12 languages, featuring over 200 films and 3D flight tracking, Films with audio description for blind and visually impaired passengers and headphone socket with noise-cancelling headset.
The Economy Class cabin features new inflight entertainment system including 10” HD touchscreen display in 16:9 format, High-power USB connection.
Other features of the new Economy Class cabin include interactive entertainment menu in 12 languages, featuring over 200 films and 3D flight tracking, Films with audio description for blind and visually impaired passengers.
The refurbished Airbus A330-200 with registration PH-AOD, operated its first flight from Amsterdam Schipol to Abu Dhabi this week.
By November 2018, KLM will have converted all seats in World Class Business to full-flat models on the Airbus A330-200 fleet.
KLM had previously refurbishedthe Business Class cabins aboard its Boeings 747s and 777s. The airline’s Boeing 787s are delivered with the new Business Class seats as default.
The new seats and interior were designed by KLM in collaboration with designer Hella Jongerius.
