The world’s first Airbus A350-1000 revenue flight touched down at London’s Heathrow Airport at 20:25 hrs on Saturday 24 February following a seven-hour 30 minute flight.

Operated by Qatar Airways, the national carrier of the State of Qatar, Flight QR 15 had departed Hamad International Airport, Doha in the afternoon with revenue passengers onboard.

Qatar Airways is the global launch customer for the Airbus A350-1000 having taken delivery of the first example in Toulouse, France last Tuesday.

The A350-1000 is the first Airbus aircraft to feature Qatar Airways award-winning Qsuite Business Cabin. It will offer a total of 327 seats across two cabins, with 46 Business Class seats and 281 Economy Class seats.

The aircraft offers enhanced levels of passenger comfort, thanks to the lowest twin engine noise level of any aircraft, advanced air conditioning technology and full LED mood lighting.

The A350-1000 will now operate a daily between Doha and London. Qatar Airways currently offers six daily flights between Doha and London, providing a fast and frequent connection between the two capital cities.
