Global hospitality company, Hilton, has opened the Hilton Cairo Heliopolis, strengthening its presence in Egypt 60 years after first entering the north African country.

Hilton has also confirmed plans for the debut of its luxury brand Waldorf Astoria in Egypt later this year. It will be the company’s first Waldorf Astoria hotel in Africa.

The company has signed two management agreements with Gulf-Egypt for Hotels & Tourism (S.A.E) to operate Heliopolis Hotel & Towers Luxury Hotel under two distinct brands.

593-room Hilton Cairo Heliopolis is already welcoming guests while the 247-room Towers Luxury Hotel is scheduled to reopen before the end of 2018 after rebranding as Waldorf Astoria Cairo.

Across both hotels, guests can enjoy incredible stylish and diverse choices of dining and entertainment options including Italian, Asian, Egyptian, Chinese and Indian cuisines.

Conveniently located on the main artery road leading to central Cairo, Heliopolis is one of the city’s prime residential areas and home to Egypt’s diplomatic and presidential offices.

Both properties will become part of Hilton Honors, the award-winning guest-loyalty program for Hilton's 14 distinct hotel brands.

Hilton has more than 5,100 hotels globally. It has had a continuous presence in Egypt for more than 60 years, with seven more hotels expected to open in the next five years.
