South African Airways (SAA) has announced plans to reduce frequencies between Johannesburg and London from two daily to a single daily service with effect from 20 April 2018.

The airline is also introducing its new Airbus A330-300 on the Johannesburg-London Heathrow service from 25 March 2018.

SAA says the decision will help it focus on business areas that will enhance efficiency and bring more value to its customers as well as produce improved overall performance of the airline.

South African Airways had at the end of 2017, announced network remediation on the domestic and regional markets and the airline has now turned its attention to its international network.

According to SAA, the deployment of the new Airbus A330-300 between Johannesburg and London will afford its customers a significantly improved on-board products across all classes.

South African Airways' Airbus A330-300 has capacity for a total of 249 passengers including 46 in Business Class and 203 in Economy Class.

The aircraft features state-of-the-art technology, warm and comfortable interior, neutral colours to provide elegant and relaxed ambience.
