Ethiopian Starts Dedicated Freighter Service From Bahir-Dar to Europe

Ethiopian Airlines on 24 January, 2018, commenced a direct freighter flight from Bahir Dar, Ethiopia to Liege, Belgium one of the largest Ethiopian flower importer destinations.

The airline aims at delivering the best Ethiopian flower fresh, timely and direct to Europe. With its daily freighter services to Belgium, Liege and Brussels, Ethiopian transports a total of 130 tons of flowers.

With Ethiopian’s 21 domestic destinations, travellers can now accomplish their business issues within hours, enabling economic integration between and among regions, encouraging tourism.

Ethiopian Airlines' domestic connectivity also plays a catalyst role in the economic, social, and cultural integration.

Ethiopian will avail similar freighter services from other flower producing regional states such as Hawassa and others.

Bahir Dar is the capital city of the Amhara region in northern Ethiopia. The city is known for growing a variety of colorful flowers including roses.
