Ethiopian Airlines has signed an Agreement with Guinea Airlines, for strategic partnership in management, maintenance and training.

The agreement which was signed on January 30, 2018 at Ethiopian Airlines headquarters, was witnessed by representative of both airlines and countries.

Representatives at the signing included Ethiopian Group CEO Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam, Mr. Cheick Dem, from Guinea Airlines and Guinea’s Minister for Transport, H.E. Oyé Guilavogui.

This is a trilateral partnership with Guinea, ASKY Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines with a view to fill the air connectivity vacuum in domestic Guinea and between the Mano River countries.

The partnership is in line with the recently launched African Single Air Transport Market at Addis Ababa, and will enable Guinea Airlines to regain market share within Africa.

The re-established Guinea Airlines is expected to start flying no later than by the end of June.
