Qatar Airways is continuing its expansion in Asia by adding an additional flight to Bangkok as from 25 March, 2018 providing its passengers even more flexibility in visiting the Thai capital.

The additional service is part of the award-winning airline’s continued expansion in Southeast Asia, following its launch of direct service to Thailand’s Chiang Mai late last year.

Outbound Flight QR980 will depart Doha by 01:55 and arrive Bangkok by 12:55. Inbound Flight QR981 will depart Bangkok by 20:35 and arrive Doha by 23:45.

Qatar Airways currently flies 14 times a week to Phuket, daily to Krabi and four times a week to Chiang Mai. The additional service to Bangkok will take the number of weekly flights to the Thai capital to 42.

The Doha based airline is also preparing to launch direct service to the Thai city of Pattaya later this month, as well as service to Penang, Malaysia in February.

Known in Thai as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon, Bangkok is the capital and most populous city of Thailand. It is one of the most popular leisure and business destinations in Southeast Asia.

Qatar Airways operates a modern fleet of more than 200 aircraft to over 150 business and leisure destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.

The airline is launching a host of exciting new destinations in 2018, including Penang, Malaysia; Canberra, Australia; and Cardiff, U.K.
