Ethiopian Airlines Spreads Wings to Kisangani and Mbuji Mayi in DRC

Ethiopian Airlines will launch new scheduled flights to Kisangani and Mbuji Mayi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) with effect from March, 2018.

The new service will be operated using a Boeing 737-800, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays leaving Addis Ababa at 10:00 and returning to Addis Ababa at 19:30 local time.

This will increase Ethiopian Airlines gateways in the Democratic Republic of Congo to five which includes Kinshasa, Goma and Lubumbashi.

The Mbuji-Mayi and Kisangani flights will enable travellers from these cities enjoy convenient and seamless connectivity to Ethiopian's global network of over 100 international destinations across 5 continents in Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East.

The DRC is the largest country in Francophone Africa. It is among the most resource-rich countries in the world with an abundance of gold, tantalum, tungsten and tin which are all used in electronics such as cell phones and laptops.

Ethiopian Airlines is expanding its global network with a plan to 10 new destinations in just six months of the 2018 calendar year.
