It's Official, Kenya Airways Launches Non-stop Flight to New York

After months of speculations, Kenya Airways yesterday, marked a great milestone with the official launch of daily non-stop flight from Nairobi to New York.
The national airline of Kenya has already started selling tickets for the inaugural flight which is scheduled for 28 October 2018.
The new service will be the fastest connection from East Africa to New York, with a 15 hours duration eastbound and 14 hours westbound.
The airline will operate its state of the art Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with a capacity of 234 passengers including 30 in business class and 204 in economy class.
Flight KQ2 will depart JKIA, Nairobi at 23:25 and arrive at JFK, New York at 06:25 the following day. Flight KQ3 will depart JFK at 12:25 and land at JKIA at 10:55 the following day.
With the new service, Kenya Airways will become the first airline to offer a non-stop flight between East Africa and the United States of America.
Kenya Airways will offer its customers a unique travel experience between Kenya and USA, attracting corporate and high-end tourism traffic from the world to Kenya and Africa.
With over 40 American multinationals located in Nairobi and many more across Africa, the launch of daily flights is expected to further spur trade between America and Africa.
The convenient schedule of the new service will allow passengers to connect to and from over 40 African destinations through Kenya Airways hub in Nairobi.
