Nelson Mandela’s final residence in Houghton, Johannesburg is being redeveloped and transformed into a presidential five-star boutique hotel which is due to open to the public in 2019.
The 9-bedroom Mandela Presidential Boutique Hotel is an upmarket property located at the heart of Houghton, Johannesburg and will offer a luxury retreat inspired by Mandela’s life and times.
Ideal for both leisure and business travelers, a fine dining restaurant will be accompanied by state-of-the-art conference facilities.
First announced in November at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, the iconic five-star property will attract high-end business travellers, diplomatic corps and scholars from around the world.
When opened, Mandela Presidential Boutique Hotel is expected to entice and attract more people to explore tourism offerings in South Africa with its scenic beauty and global political importance.
The project is being co-developed by The Nelson Mandela Foundation and Thebe Tourism Group, an investor in the development of iconic tourism attractions.
The concept of converting Nelson Mandela’s primary residence into a place of reflection is to create an avenue that will provide visitors with additional insights into the Mandela heritage through an experience that is inspired by the icon’s life and times while he resided and worked at the property.
The Nelson Mandela Foundation (NMF) was established in 1999 when its founder, Mr Nelson Mandela, stepped down as the President of South Africa.

Prices in the Sol Torremolinos Don Pablo are the same than two weeks ago.
Good location astounding but the staffs are rude and they make me wait so long for the service. They charge me more than what is on the website and did not refund me the manager is not helping with the issue
