Casablanca will become the first North African destination to be served by Etihad Airways’ Boeing 787-9 when the airline deploys the aircraft to the Moroccan city from 1 May 2018.
The 3-class Boeing 787-9 has a total of 235 seats including 8 First Suites, 28 Business Studios and 199 Economy Smart Seats. It will replace the Airbus A330 currently operating the daily Abu Dhabi--Casablanca service.
Introduction of the 787 Dreamliner will also see a scheduling change that will optimize timings for customers travelling to and from Morocco’s port city and commercial hub.
The airline will maintain an early morning arrival into Casablanca and operate a revised mid-morning return service that will improve connectivity to their network across Asia and Australia.
Etihad Airways’ Boeing 787-9s provide highest levels of comfort, entertainment, and inflight connectivity. On-board décor and lighting are inspired by contemporary Arabian design.
Etihad Airways currently has 18 Boeing 787-9s which it flies to 17 destinations including Amsterdam, Beijing, Brisbane, Madrid, Melbourne, Perth, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Tokyo, Washington, Zurich etc.
