Alitalia Resumes Flight Services to Two African Destinations

After 17 years, Italian national carrier, Alitalia is set to resume flight operations to two African destinations: Johannesburg in South Africa and Nairobi in Kenya. The airline will operate four weekly services between Rome Fiumicino Airport and Johannesburg with effect from 8 April, 2018. The flight will be operated using an Airbus A330. Alitalia last served Johannesburg in March 2001, with Milan -Johannesburg and Rome-Johannesburg operations. Alitalia's Rome-Nairobi service will commence on 28 March, 2018 with four weekly rotations and will also be operated using an Airbus A330. The last time Alitalia flew to Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, was in October 2000, when it operated Milan – Nairobi service.
