Delta Introduces Free Prosecco in International Economy
Every flight can now be a special occasion as Delta customers raise a glass of Prosecco to toast the start of their journey after the airline introduced the Italian favorite in the Main Cabin.
Delta customers have long had a choice of complimentary beer, white and red wines plus spirits throughout the aircraft but the introduction of Avissi Prosecco elevates Delta’s in-flight offering even higher.
The popular fizz is now available on all international flights and continues Delta’s focus on providing a premium on-board food and beverage offering.
“Sparkling wine is often the first choice for a celebration and we know how special it is for people to jet off on a trip so we wanted to bring the celebration to them,” said Lisa Bauer, Delta’s Vice President - On-Board Services.
“Offering complimentary chef-curated food and drinks throughout the flight is one of the things that sets Delta apart and we’re upping the ante again with our mini bottles of Prosecco.”
Meanwhile, in the Delta One cabin, the flavors of autumn are being paired with a selection of wines curated by Delta’s Master Sommelier, Andrea Robinson.
Delta has been in the forefront of introducing hard and soft products to enhance the on-ground and onboard experience of its customers.
On 1 October, Delta became the first U.S. global carrier to offer complementary mobile messaging enabling customers to stay fully connected with those on the ground and exchange real time messages in flight with friends, families, colleagues, and clients via iMessage.
Earlier in September, the airline refreshed its TUMI amenity kits in the Delta One cabin, which allow customers to monogram a patch on the front of the case, a first for any airline amenity.
