Turkish Airlines has extended its complimentary ‘Stopover’ service to include passengers from South Africa, Nigeria and Algeria who are connecting in Istanbul to select destinations in the airline’s route network.

Passengers travelling from these countries, who have more than a 20-hour connecting layover in Istanbul, can benefit from complimentary accommodation and an opportunity to discover the Istanbul during their transit.

The service is available to customers travelling to selected destinations across the USA, Europe, South America, the UK, Ireland, the Far East, Middle East, North Africa and Asia.

Qualifying passengers will receive an accommodation voucher from Turkish Airlines after completing their flight booking. The voucher will allow economy class passengers to stay for one night at a 4-star hotel; and for business class passengers to stay 2 nights at a 5-star hotel in Istanbul.

The stopover service was previously offered only to passengers departing from Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and Australia. It offer passengers a great opportunity to discover the unique beauty of Istanbul and experience Turkish hospitality and tourism during their transit.
