RwandAir, the national carrier of Rwanda will launch scheduled flight operations to Dakar, the capital city of Senegal with effect from 3 October 2017, the airline has announced.

The new service will operate three times a week from the airlines West African hub Cotonou via Abidjan using a Boeing 737 aircraft.

This service is in addition to the three destinations, Libreville (Gabon), Brazzaville (Congo), and Abidjan (Cote d’Ivoire) that are already served from Cotonou effective 30th August.

RwandAir had on 1 August, 2017 inaugurated its West African operational Hub at the Cotonou Cadjehoun Airport, Cotonou, the largest city in Benin Republic, West Africa.

Headquartered at Kigali International Airport, RwandAir is reputed for its excellent on-time performance, customer service and safety, and has one of the youngest fleet on the African continent.

With a fleet of 12 aircraft including new Airbus A330s and Boeing 737-800NGs, RwandAir now flies to 23 destinations across Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia including London, Brussels and Mumbai.

When operational, the new West African destinations will extend RwandAir’s rapidly global network to 26.
