RwandAir, the national airline of Rwanda, has been named the airline 'Brand of The Year' at the 2nd Ghana National Aviation Awards held in Accra, Ghana on Friday, September 1, 2017.

RwandAir won the coveted “Brand of The Year” in a closely contested category that included some of the well established airline brands currently flying to the Kotoka International Airport, Accra.

The award event was supported by the Ghana Ministry of Aviation and the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority and was graced by players in the industry.

In recent times, RwandAir's has been upping the ante with respect to passenger experience. The airline has put together the right mix of hard and soft products aboard its aircraft for the utmost comfort of its passengers.

RwandAir's Airbus A330-200 is WiFi-enabled and is configured to carry a total of 264 passengers including 20 in business class, 21 in premium economy and 223 in economy cabin. Business Class passengers enjoy flatbeds that have a massage system.

RwandAir, offers 15 minutes free Wi-Fi on flights operated by wifi enabled aircraft, a rich on-board entertainment system and enough leg room for a pleasant flight.

With a seat pitch of 51 inches in the business class and 31 inches in the economy class, RwandAir's Boeing 737-800NG offers one of the most generous seat pitches you can find on a typical two class narrow-body aircraft.

With a fleet of 12 aircraft including new Airbus A330s and Boeing 737-800NGs, RwandAir now flies to 23 destinations across Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia. It started flying to Accra in June 2013.
