Subject to regulatory approval, a new low-cost carrier, Vule Airways, has reportedly concluded plans to launch flight operations from Entebbe International Airport, Uganda in November.

Robert Mwesigwa, the co-founder and managing director of the Kampala based budget airline, said that the airline's schedules and fares would be announced soon.

According to the airline's website, its fleet include two Bombardier Dash-8s, one Boeing 777-200ER and and three Boeing 737-700s.

The airline plans to fly to Bujumbura, Bukavu, Bukoba, Goma, Juba, Kigali, Kilimanjaro, Kinshasa, Kisumu, Mogadishu, Mwanza, Dar es Salaam, Gaborone, Harare, Kilimanjaro, Lusaka, Nacala, Mombasa, Nairobi, Victoria Falls, Zanzibar.

Other planned destinations include Abuja, Guangzhou, Bangkok, Mumbai, Moscow, London, Tel Aviv, Tunis, Cape Town, Dubai, Johannesburg, Lagos, Luanda, Moscow and Windhoek.

VULE AIRWAYS is a privately-owned Ugandan registered airline with the aims of filling the vacuum in the Ugandan air transport sector created by the lack of a national airline.

Incorporated in the United Kingdom in May 2017 and also registered in Uganda, Vule Airways is run by two directors - Mwesigwa and Fred Keays, a British national - and a company secretary.

The airline is expected to form partnerships with thriving regional and international airlines in order to provide quality air transport services and train aviators.
